Position Purpose:
We are looking for a Principal Blockchain Solutions Architect to engineer and oversee the infrastructure of high-integrity, modular blockchain solutions for tokenized assets, smart contracts, and regulated payment channels within Qatar’s fintech ecosystem. This is a deeply technical leadership role with strategic oversight responsibilities for distributed architecture, compliance integration, and scalability across financial environments.
Core Responsibilities:

Design and maintain scalable, interoperable DLT architectures aligned with Qatar Central Bank’s FinTech Strategy 2023–2027 and Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) regulations.

Lead development of digital asset tokenization protocols, particularly for real estate, sukuk, and ESG assets.

Collaborate with legal, AML, and cybersecurity experts to ensure cryptographic frameworks adhere to Qatari AML Law No. 20 of 2019, GDPR-like Qatari Data Protection Law, and Shariah rules on asset provenance.

Architect decentralized identity (DID) systems and cross-border KYC layers in line with GCC FATF mutual evaluations.

Mentor engineering teams in Layer-1 and Layer-2 network construction, gasless transaction strategies, and zero-knowledge proof implementations.

Champion regulatory approval for pilot DLT sandboxes and manage stakeholder dialogues with QCB, QFC, and investment entities.

Develop system reliability pipelines, including performance load testing, self-healing smart contract modules, and fallback consensus mechanisms.
Professional Requirements:

PhD/Master’s in Computer Science, Cryptography, or Blockchain Engineering.

10+ years in backend fintech engineering with 4+ years focused on blockchain infrastructure.

Proven experience with Solidity, Cosmos SDK, Substrate, or Ethereum Layer-2 networks.

Strong grasp of tokenization regulations in MENA, particularly within Islamic finance use cases.

Familiar with international interoperability standards such as ISO 20022, ERC-3643, or CBDC architecture.

Certifications in blockchain architecture or enterprise cloud security highly preferred.
