A sophisticated fintech institution in Doha is recruiting a top-tier Principal Blockchain Developer – Enterprise DLT, Cross-Border Settlement & Financial Infrastructure Engineering to architect and deliver enterprise-grade blockchain solutions that power next-generation financial infrastructure.
This role is focused on building high-integrity distributed ledger systems that enable cross-border payments, multi-currency settlement, and digital asset custody at institutional scale.
You will operate at a principal level—defining architecture, leading engineering teams, and ensuring that blockchain systems meet the highest standards of security, scalability, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop enterprise blockchain platforms for financial applications
- Build distributed ledger systems for cross-border payments and asset settlement
- Design and implement secure smart contracts and protocol logic
- Integrate blockchain systems with traditional financial infrastructure and APIs
- Ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability of blockchain networks
- Implement advanced security controls and cryptographic protocols
- Lead technical strategy and mentor engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with Qatar fintech and digital asset regulations
- Conduct performance optimization and system tuning
- Evaluate emerging blockchain technologies and recommend adoption strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end financial solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong blockchain expertise
- Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, Go, or similar languages
- Experience with enterprise blockchain platforms and distributed systems
- Strong understanding of financial systems and payment infrastructure
- Exceptional leadership and system design capabilities
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with cross-border payment systems and settlement networks
- Knowledge of interoperability frameworks and blockchain scaling solutions
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial systems
- Exposure to advanced cryptographic methods and secure system design
