This role is designed for a world-class backend engineer capable of building the financial infrastructure behind modern global payment ecosystems.
Mission Objective
To architect advanced backend systems supporting:
- International payment orchestration
- Treasury API infrastructures
- Multi-currency settlement engines
- Real-time liquidity operations
- High-volume financial messaging systems
Primary Responsibilities
1. Cross-Border Financial Infrastructure
- Build scalable backend services supporting international transaction routing and settlement operations
- Develop high-performance APIs enabling secure financial connectivity across banking ecosystems
- Architect distributed transaction systems capable of supporting global payment scalability
2. Treasury & Settlement Systems Engineering
- Design backend infrastructures managing treasury visibility, liquidity synchronization, and settlement automation
- Build real-time reconciliation systems supporting institutional financial operations
- Develop intelligent transaction orchestration frameworks minimizing settlement latency
3. Event-Driven Architecture & Messaging Systems
- Implement high-throughput event-streaming systems for transaction processing and operational analytics
- Build asynchronous backend workflows supporting resilient multi-region operations
- Optimize messaging reliability across distributed financial infrastructures
4. Security, Reliability & Infrastructure Resilience
- Design highly secure backend environments with enterprise-grade encryption and operational monitoring
- Implement disaster recovery and fault-tolerant engineering strategies
- Maintain observability systems supporting real-time infrastructure monitoring and incident response
5. Engineering Innovation & Strategic Development
- Collaborate with fintech architects, treasury operations teams, and infrastructure engineers
- Lead backend modernization initiatives for large-scale financial systems
- Evaluate emerging technologies improving scalability and operational resilience
Technical Requirements
- 8–15 years in backend engineering, payment infrastructure, treasury systems, or financial platform architecture
- Strong expertise in:
- Go / Java / Rust
- Distributed systems engineering
- Kafka / Pulsar / RabbitMQ
- PostgreSQL / Cassandra
- Kubernetes & cloud-native infrastructure
- API gateways & service meshes
- Real-time transaction processing systems
- Experience working with:
- SWIFT integrations
- Payment gateways
- Treasury operations
- Multi-currency settlement systems
- Enterprise-scale fintech infrastructures
Preferred Expertise
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 financial messaging standards
- Experience with high-frequency transaction systems
- Familiarity with blockchain-integrated payment infrastructure
- Understanding of treasury reconciliation and liquidity optimization workflows
