A pioneering fintech institution in Doha is searching for a world-class Principal Backend Architect – Blockchain Financial Infrastructure & Digital Asset Platforms to design the backend foundations of future digital financial ecosystems.

This prestigious engineering position requires exceptional expertise in distributed systems, blockchain infrastructure, cryptographic security principles, smart contract integration, digital asset transaction processing, and enterprise-level financial architecture.

The selected professional will lead the development of secure backend environments supporting digital asset custody platforms, blockchain analytics systems, tokenization services, digital identity infrastructures, and advanced financial transaction networks.

Strategic Engineering Responsibilities

Blockchain Backend Architecture

• Design backend services interacting with distributed ledger networks and digital asset ecosystems.
• Build transaction monitoring systems capable of analyzing blockchain activities in real time.
• Develop secure wallet management infrastructure, key management solutions, and digital asset processing engines.
• Create APIs enabling seamless integration between blockchain platforms and financial applications.

Large-Scale System Engineering

• Architect highly available systems capable of supporting global digital financial operations.
• Develop scalable microservices utilizing modern backend engineering methodologies.
• Implement sophisticated database designs, caching strategies, and asynchronous processing mechanisms.
• Ensure high-performance transaction handling under extreme workloads.

Security Engineering & Reliability

• Establish enterprise-level security controls for sensitive financial environments.
• Implement encryption standards, secure authentication methods, and advanced access control mechanisms.
• Conduct architecture reviews focusing on scalability, resilience, and cyber risk reduction.

Research & Technical Innovation

• Evaluate emerging backend technologies, blockchain protocols, and financial infrastructure standards.
• Guide engineering teams in adopting innovative software development practices.
• Collaborate with product leaders and technology specialists to transform complex financial concepts into production-grade solutions.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Financial Technology.
• Minimum of 10 years of backend engineering experience with significant exposure to distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, cryptography fundamentals, and high-performance backend design.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering initiatives.
