Role Summary

The Principal Architect will shape the structural, technical, and regulatory foundations of Oman’s next-generation real-time payment and digital settlement ecosystems. The role integrates large-scale system architecture, payment intelligence design, cross-border payment harmonization, and digital governance into a comprehensive, future-proof financial infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect multi-rail real-time payment systems integrating smart liquidity triggers, API-native orchestration, and continuous settlement intelligence.

• Engineer Oman-aligned cross-border corridors, enabling GCC interoperability, frictionless FX automation, and multi-currency clearing.

• Develop predictive payment risk intelligence engines, embedding ML-driven anomaly detection, micro-pattern fraud mapping, and algorithmic compliance.

• Construct secure cloud-first transaction infrastructures, delivering high-availability, end-to-end encryption, and ultra-low-latency processing.

• Design payment governance standards including digital settlement protocols, infrastructure control frameworks, and operational risk matrices.

• Deliver strategic transformation roadmaps outlining Oman’s long-term payments evolution, digital modernization, and cross-border integration readiness.

Required Expertise

• 8–14 years of experience in digital payment architecture, real-time settlement systems, or cross-border financial technology engineering.

• Mastery of payment messaging standards, API governance, multi-rail architecture, and cloud-native financial infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of Omani regulatory frameworks, digital payments direction, and GCC payment harmonization strategies.

• Proven capacity to design scalable, secure, and intelligent payment ecosystems.

• High-level strategic communication and inter-institutional leadership ability.
