Role Overview

The Principal Architect will design, orchestrate, and govern the UAE’s next-generation intelligent cross-border payments ecosystem—leveraging multi-rail settlement frameworks, AI-assisted liquidity routing, real-time fraud telemetry, and sovereign-aligned payment interoperability models. This requires building ultra-scalable, regulation-aligned payment infrastructures that sync seamlessly with global digital corridors, ensuring predictable, resilient, and high-efficiency financial flows.

The ideal candidate is a world-class specialist in digital settlements, ISO 20022 harmonization, AI-driven payment intelligence, programmable payment contracts, and distributed clearing networks.

Key Responsibilities

Cross-Border Payments Infrastructure Design

• Build a federated, multi-rail settlement fabric using ISO 20022 messaging, RTP protocols, and programmable liquidity logic.

• Establish dynamic, AI-driven corridor routing engines optimizing cost, speed, and compliance constraints.

• Integrate tokenized settlement capabilities into payment flows for high-value corporate transfers.

Regulatory & Compliance Engineering

• Implement automated sanction-screening pipelines, anomaly detection systems, and real-time AML intelligence.

• Ensure full regulatory consistency with UAE Central Bank digital payments frameworks and global interoperability standards.

Ecosystem Connectivity & Partner Integration

• Architect onboarding mechanisms for banks, PSPs, fintech platforms, and alternative financial rails.

• Develop shared identity and verification layers supporting cross-network authentication and security.

Resilience, Scaling & Performance Optimization

• Lead end-to-end stress-testing, scenario modeling, and infrastructure hardening for high-volume global corridors.

• Implement real-time intelligence dashboards for liquidity conditions, network load, fraud signals, and cross-border flows.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Digital Finance, Applied Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or related.

• 10+ years in digital payments architecture, cross-border settlement engineering, or fintech routing intelligence.

• Deep knowledge of ISO 20022, real-time payments, liquidity optimization, AML/CFT systems, and global settlement models.
