Principal Architect of Cross-Border Payments & FX Infrastructure & Liquidity Systems – Saudi Arabia (Global Remote)
Role Context
This role is designed for a fintech infrastructure authority who will architect and govern cross-border payments, foreign exchange processing, and liquidity management platforms operating across multiple corridors, currencies, and regulatory domains. Fully remote, the position is strategically aligned with Saudi Arabia’s expanding influence in international trade flows, digital payments, and regional financial infrastructure.
The mandate focuses on systemic efficiency, settlement precision, and capital fluidity, ensuring that financial movement across borders becomes faster, safer, and more transparent.
Core Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end cross-border payment systems, including routing logic, settlement engines, and reconciliation frameworks.

Design FX processing infrastructures capable of real-time pricing, hedging integration, and multi-currency settlement.

Oversee liquidity orchestration frameworks ensuring optimal capital allocation across accounts, regions, and currencies.

Establish controls for transaction traceability, operational resilience, and exception management.

Integrate payment infrastructures with external networks, correspondent systems, and regional clearing mechanisms.

Embed risk, compliance, and monitoring capabilities directly into transaction flows.

Serve as a strategic authority on future global payment models, including instant settlement and programmable transaction logic.
Candidate Profile

15–20+ years of experience in payments infrastructure, FX systems, or global transaction platforms.

Advanced knowledge of cross-border settlement mechanics, liquidity models, and transaction risk controls.

Proven ability to design systems operating under high regulatory and operational complexity.

Strong strategic mindset with hands-on architectural depth.

Comfortable operating independently in a remote, high-impact role.
Salary & Compensation Structure (Saudi Arabia Benchmark – Remote)

Base Annual Salary: SAR 820,000 – SAR 1,080,000

Annual Performance Variable: 25% – 40% based on settlement efficiency, uptime, and capital optimisation metrics
