Job Overview
Principal Architect – Distributed Crypto Infrastructure & Digital Asset Protocols
Remote | Saudi Arabia (GCC Focus, Global Scope)
Strategic Mandate
This role is designed for a senior-most technologist operating at the intersection of cryptographic engineering, decentralized financial infrastructure, and sovereign-scale digital asset ecosystems. The Principal Architect will act as the intellectual and technical steward for next-generation crypto systems engineered to operate across multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments, hyperscale transaction volumes, and mission-critical financial networks.
The mandate is not product maintenance or incremental enhancement; it is foundational architecture design—defining how cryptographic financial systems should be constructed, secured, governed, and scaled over the next decade.
Core Responsibilities
-
Architect end-to-end distributed ledger infrastructures, including Layer-1, Layer-2, and modular blockchain architectures optimized for throughput, latency, and fault tolerance.
-
Design tokenization frameworks for digital assets, including fungible and non-fungible instruments, programmable settlement logic, and asset lifecycle controls.
-
Lead cryptographic design decisions involving zero-knowledge proofs, threshold signatures, MPC, and advanced consensus mechanisms.
-
Establish security and resilience standards for custody, key management, validator integrity, and protocol-level attack mitigation.
-
Define interoperability models enabling seamless interaction across blockchains, legacy financial rails, and emerging digital asset networks.
-
Translate complex technical constructs into executive-level frameworks suitable for regulators, policymakers, and institutional stakeholders.
Technical & Professional Requirements
-
Deep expertise in blockchain protocol engineering, distributed systems, and applied cryptography.
-
Proven experience designing or scaling high-value crypto infrastructure with institutional or national relevance.
-
Advanced knowledge of smart contract architectures, formal verification concepts, and protocol governance models.
-
Ability to operate autonomously in a remote, globally distributed environment with strategic accountability.
Professional Profile
This role is suited to individuals who have moved beyond implementation into architectural authorship—professionals whose work defines standards rather than follows them.
