ROLE PURPOSE
Design the technological and conceptual infrastructure underpinning sophisticated digital-payment and banking ecosystems.
This position is engineered for an experienced technology professional who understands that modern payments are no longer simply transaction-processing systems—they are interconnected networks involving identity, data, risk, artificial intelligence, APIs, liquidity, security, customer experience and real-time financial intelligence.
The Architect will establish technical blueprints capable of supporting high-volume financial environments while maintaining resilience, security, scalability and exceptional user experience.

01 — Payment Infrastructure
Design and optimize architectures covering:
- Real-time payments
- Card-processing ecosystems
- Merchant acquiring
- Payment gateways
- Digital wallets
- P2P transfers
- Cross-border transactions
- Payment orchestration
- Settlement infrastructure
02 — Digital Banking
Develop architecture frameworks for:
- Digital onboarding
- Account platforms
- Open banking
- API ecosystems
- Customer financial intelligence

- Real-time transaction environments
03 — Intelligence Layer
Introduce advanced analytical capabilities through:
- Machine learning
- Predictive analytics
- Fraud intelligence

04 — Security Architecture
Establish robust controls covering:
- Identity management
- Authentication
- Encryption
- API security
- Transaction security

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Architect will:
- Produce enterprise-grade fintech architecture blueprints.
- Define technical standards for payment and banking platforms.
- Establish integration strategies across internal and external systems.
- Evaluate technology vendors and infrastructure components.
- Develop scalability and resilience models.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, cybersecurity and data teams.
- Identify architectural weaknesses and modernization opportunities.
- Establish API and service-integration frameworks.
- Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Participate in high-level technical governance and design reviews.
IDEAL PROFILE
Experience: 10+ years in technology, banking infrastructure, fintech or payments.
Preferred expertise:
- Distributed systems

- Cybersecurity
- Enterprise integration
Professional certifications in cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity or related disciplines are advantageous.
Compensation Framework
QAR 50,000 – 78,000 per month
Compensation may vary according to architectural responsibility, leadership scope and technical depth.
