Overview:

Saudi Arabia seeks a Lead Theoretician of Digital Asset Risk & Governance to formalize mathematical frameworks for digital finance, integrating stochastic calculus, category theory, type theory, and AI-driven predictive governance. This role focuses on the ontological structuring of risk, compliance, and governance across tokenized and decentralized financial markets, enabling provably secure, mathematically coherent, and operationally robust fintech architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct formalized ontologies of digital financial instruments linking counterparties, regulatory rules, and settlement protocols with mathematical precision.

• Model capital flows and systemic risk using stochastic processes, high-dimensional simulations, and network theory.

• Apply category-theoretic abstractions to encode interdependencies among financial contracts, liquidity networks, and cross-border settlements.

• Lead the design of AI-assisted governance engines capable of reasoning about emergent risk, protocol invariants, and operational contingencies.

• Collaborate with engineers to embed formal proofs into smart contracts, automated settlement protocols, and regulatory compliance systems.

Required Expertise:

• PhD or equivalent experience in Formal Logic, Computational Finance, Applied Mathematics, or Ontological Engineering.

• Deep knowledge of financial networks, stochastic differential systems, and algorithmic risk management.

• Proficiency in Haskell, Python, Coq/Lean theorem proving, and blockchain development frameworks.

• Strong understanding of Saudi financial regulations, digital asset governance, and cross-border settlement rules.

Preferred Attributes:

• Publications in formal verification of financial systems, computational finance, or systemic risk analysis.

• Ability to translate advanced mathematical theory into practical, scalable fintech architectures.

• Demonstrated experience in ontologically coherent modeling of complex financial domains.
