We are looking for an exceptional Engineer to design, build, optimise, and operate high-performance payment and transaction infrastructure capable of supporting sophisticated financial products at scale.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Payment Engineering
Develop and enhance payment-processing services supporting multiple transaction flows and financial products.
Real-Time Systems
Build highly responsive services capable of processing financial events with low latency.
Distributed Architecture
Design resilient services using modern distributed-system principles.
API Engineering
Develop secure, scalable APIs connecting applications, merchants, financial platforms, and external services.
Transaction Integrity
Implement mechanisms that protect transaction consistency, idempotency, reconciliation, and reliable processing.
Performance Engineering
Identify bottlenecks and optimise throughput, latency, infrastructure utilisation, and system efficiency.
Reliability
Build monitoring, alerting, fault-tolerance, recovery, and observability capabilities.
Technical Leadership
Mentor engineers, participate in architecture decisions, conduct technical reviews, and establish engineering standards.

How does it behave under extreme load?
What happens if a downstream service fails?
Can the transaction be safely retried?
How do we guarantee consistency?
Can we identify the failure immediately?
Can the system recover without compromising financial integrity?
That level of engineering discipline is expected.
IDEAL PROFILE
-
7+ years in software engineering, payments, fintech, banking technology, or distributed systems
-
Proven experience building production-grade financial systems
-
Strong understanding of payment processing
-
Excellent software-engineering fundamentals
-
Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture
-
Strong cloud and DevOps knowledge
-
Excellent problem-solving ability
-
Experience mentoring technical teams
Compensation: Competitive lead-engineering package based on experience and technical scope.
