Position Overview
An international financial technology organization operating across global markets is seeking a Lead Fintech Infrastructure & Digital Payments Architect to design and manage scalable financial technology systems supporting digital payment processing and financial data management.
This senior role will focus on designing robust fintech infrastructure capable of handling large-scale financial transactions while maintaining high standards of reliability, security, and regulatory compliance. The position requires collaboration with distributed teams responsible for product development, risk management, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
The role is fully remote but aligned with the working hours of financial institutions in the GCC region.
Strategic Responsibilities
Financial Technology Infrastructure Development

Design and oversee scalable fintech system architectures supporting digital payment ecosystems

Develop infrastructure capable of supporting real-time financial transaction processing

Evaluate emerging fintech technologies for integration into digital financial platforms
Digital Payment Systems Optimization

Architect payment solutions supporting cards, mobile wallets, and bank transfer networks

Improve transaction processing reliability and latency performance

Implement scalable infrastructure for cross-border digital financial transactions
Security & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure fintech infrastructure complies with financial security standards and regulatory requirements

Work with cybersecurity teams to protect financial systems from threats and vulnerabilities

Implement fraud detection frameworks within payment architecture
Technology Leadership

Provide technical leadership to remote engineering teams building fintech systems

Review and approve system architecture designs

Guide engineering teams on fintech infrastructure best practices
Financial Data Systems

Design secure systems for managing financial transaction data

Implement analytics pipelines for transaction monitoring and fraud detection

Maintain high standards of data protection and system reliability
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Technology, or Information Systems

8+ years experience in fintech infrastructure or financial systems engineering

Experience with payment processing platforms or banking technology systems
