Position Summary
An internationally connected fintech innovation programme is seeking a Lead Edge Computing & Payments Infrastructure Engineer to architect resilient, low-latency payment infrastructure capable of supporting high-volume digital financial transactions across distributed cloud environments.
This role is ideal for an engineering leader who thrives on designing highly available systems, optimizing transaction performance, and delivering secure, scalable platforms that power next-generation financial services.
Primary Responsibilities
Infrastructure Architecture
- Design distributed payment infrastructure.
- Develop edge computing strategies for financial services.
- Optimize transaction routing and latency.
- Build highly available cloud-native platforms.
Platform Engineering
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Automate deployment and monitoring.
- Improve system resilience and observability.
- Enhance disaster recovery and business continuity.
Technical Leadership
- Lead engineering squads through complex modernization programmes.
- Conduct architecture reviews and technical mentoring.
- Collaborate with software engineering, cybersecurity, and product teams.
- Establish engineering standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, distributed systems, fintech infrastructure, or payment technologies.
- Proven expertise in designing enterprise-scale financial platforms.
- Strong leadership and technical decision-making abilities.
