Role Overview
This role is built for a senior fintech engineer who specialises in designing, orchestrating, and stabilising complex digital payment flows at scale. The Lead Digital Payments & Transaction Orchestration Engineer will take ownership of the logic that governs how money moves across platforms—ensuring speed, accuracy, resilience, and audit-grade traceability.
The position is fully remote, with strategic alignment to the UAE’s globally connected fintech environment, high-velocity transaction platforms, and cross-border digital payment corridors.
Core Engineering Responsibilities

Design and maintain transaction orchestration layers that manage multi-step payment flows across distributed systems.

Engineer services responsible for authorization, routing, settlement coordination, and transaction state management.

Implement strong guarantees around idempotency, consistency, and fault tolerance in payment workflows.

Develop APIs that integrate external payment rails, financial partners, and internal platform services.

Ensure all transaction paths support reconciliation, dispute reconstruction, and financial auditability.

Lead technical decision-making related to performance optimisation, scalability, and system resilience.
Technical Expectations

Strong experience with payments engineering, transaction processing systems, or financial middleware.

Deep understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architectures.

Ability to reason about complex edge cases involving retries, partial failures, and concurrency.

Comfortable producing detailed technical documentation for institutional-grade systems.
