Role Summary
A rapidly expanding fintech innovation ecosystem in the Gulf region is recruiting a Lead DeFi Smart Contract Auditor to spearhead the security evaluation and risk governance of enterprise-grade decentralized financial infrastructures. The organization is building sophisticated Web3 financial ecosystems supporting programmable finance, digital lending, tokenized investment products, algorithmic liquidity management, and blockchain-powered treasury automation.
The appointed professional will lead highly specialized audit initiatives focused on securing advanced DeFi architectures and institutional blockchain products designed for regional and international financial markets.
This role requires a rare combination of offensive blockchain security expertise, financial systems intelligence, advanced threat modeling capability, and strategic fintech governance awareness.
Strategic Responsibilities
DeFi Security Leadership
- Lead comprehensive security audits for complex DeFi protocols and token ecosystems.
- Evaluate smart contract interactions across multiple blockchain networks.
- Analyze protocol-level economic vulnerabilities affecting liquidity and governance stability.
- Conduct architectural reviews of:
- AMMs
- Lending protocols
- Stablecoin ecosystems
- Derivatives platforms
- Cross-chain liquidity systems
- Synthetic asset infrastructures
Threat Intelligence & Risk Analytics
- Monitor emerging blockchain exploit patterns and evolving attack methodologies.
- Build proactive threat intelligence frameworks for decentralized financial systems.
- Investigate zero-day vulnerabilities affecting smart contract environments.
- Develop blockchain risk scoring methodologies for institutional deployment approvals.
Smart Contract Review & Verification
- Perform static and dynamic smart contract analysis.
- Execute invariant testing and formal verification reviews.
- Review upgradeable proxy contract architectures.
- Validate oracle dependency resilience and external integration security.
Security Governance & Advisory
- Provide technical security advisory support to executive fintech leadership.
- Contribute to enterprise blockchain governance frameworks.
- Participate in regulatory engagement discussions involving digital finance security standards.
- Mentor junior blockchain security analysts and audit engineers.
Technical Stack Exposure

Qualifications
Required Experience
- 7+ years in cybersecurity, blockchain engineering, or decentralized finance security.
- Extensive smart contract auditing experience across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
- Prior experience auditing institutional-grade fintech blockchain infrastructures.
- Strong understanding of financial risk management within decentralized systems.
