Role Summary
A pioneering fintech technology platform delivering digital asset management, smart contracts, and blockchain-enabled financial solutions is seeking a Lead Blockchain & Smart Contract Engineer. This individual will lead the design, development, and deployment of decentralized financial applications, ensuring high scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will work closely with remote engineering teams, fintech architects, and product managers to define the next generation of blockchain-based financial solutions across GCC markets.
Responsibilities
Blockchain Architecture & Development

Design and implement blockchain networks for fintech applications

Develop smart contracts and decentralized financial solutions

Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security in high-transaction environments
Integration & API Development
-
Integrate blockchain networks with digital payment platforms and enterprise clients

Develop APIs to support fintech applications and ensure interoperability

Collaborate with engineering teams on cross-platform integrations
Security & Compliance
-
Implement cryptographic protocols for secure financial transactions

Conduct audits and testing for smart contract security vulnerabilities

Ensure adherence to international and GCC-specific fintech regulations
Technical Leadership

Mentor and guide remote engineering teams in blockchain development

Lead code reviews, best practices, and architectural decisions

Provide thought leadership on emerging blockchain technologies in fintech
Innovation & Research

Stay abreast of emerging blockchain, DeFi, and fintech trends

Propose innovative solutions for new financial technology challenges

Collaborate with product teams to pilot and launch innovative features
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Financial Technology

6+ years of experience in blockchain development or fintech engineering

Proven experience with smart contracts, DeFi applications, or digital payments platforms
-
Strong understanding of cryptography, consensus protocols, and distributed ledger technologies
Preferred Skills
-
Experience with Ethereum, Solana, or Hyperledger frameworks

Knowledge of GCC fintech regulatory environment
-
Experience with cross-border fintech deployments
Tools & Technologies

Solidity, Rust, Go, or relevant blockchain programming languages

Distributed ledger systems and smart contract frameworks

API development and financial system integration tools
