About the Role
Bahrain’s regulatory maturity in the fintech domain has become a regional benchmark, with its Central Bank actively fostering RegTech and AI-driven WealthTech initiatives. We are searching for a Lead AI Architect to design and build next-generation intelligent wealth management platforms that comply with CBB mandates while delivering personalization at scale. This remote role is pivotal in aligning algorithmic ethics, hyper-personalized asset strategies, and regulatory transparency in a region rapidly embracing AI in finance.
Core Responsibilities

Design and deploy machine learning models to drive investment recommendations, risk profiling, and financial behavior analytics.

Build explainable AI (XAI) frameworks for regulator-friendly algorithms that prioritize transparency and fairness.

Incorporate real-time compliance engines to ensure adherence to Bahrain’s CBB rulebook and GCC AI ethics charters.

Develop autonomous advisory logic for Islamic and conventional portfolios, respecting risk tolerances and Sharia principles.

Integrate AI audit trails, algorithmic accountability, and human override systems for mission-critical decisions.

Lead data governance, including cross-border data flows, privacy-preserving ML, and ethical data ingestion.
Qualifications

8+ years in AI/ML systems for financial services, ideally with exposure to the MENA region.

Solid knowledge of CBB frameworks, AI ethics laws (Bahrain AI Ethics Charter preferred), and investment portfolio regulation.

Expertise in NLP, time series prediction, behavioral finance algorithms, and robo-advisory frameworks.

Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, AWS SageMaker, and MLOps pipelines.

Previous experience working within or advising on Islamic finance tech is highly desirable.
