The Opportunity

In the UAE’s rapidly digitizing financial landscape, first impressions matter—especially in mobile banking. From the moment a user downloads an app to the completion of onboarding, every interaction shapes trust.

A fintech product environment is seeking a Junior UX Designer to support the design of mobile-first banking experiences, with a strong focus on onboarding, identity verification, and early user engagement.

This role is ideal for a designer at the beginning of their career who wants to learn by working on real financial systems, where usability, clarity, and compliance intersect.

Your Learning Mission

You will contribute to designing experiences that:

• Help users open accounts quickly and confidently
• Simplify identity verification (KYC) processes
• Reduce friction during the first-time user journey

What You Will Work On

1. Onboarding & First-Time User Experience

• Assist in designing step-by-step onboarding flows for mobile banking apps.
• Help simplify complex regulatory requirements into clear UI interactions.
• Support improvements in conversion rates by reducing friction points.

2. Wireframing & Prototyping

• Create low- and mid-fidelity wireframes for new features.
• Build interactive prototypes to test user flows and concepts.
• Iterate designs based on feedback from senior designers.

3. UX Research Support

• Participate in usability testing sessions and user interviews.
• Help gather insights on user behavior and pain points.
• Assist in documenting research findings and design recommendations.

4. Design System Contribution

• Work with existing design systems and component libraries.
• Help maintain consistency across screens and features.
• Learn how scalable design systems are structured and applied.

Tools & Skills You’ll Use

• Design Tools: Figma, Adobe XD
• Methods: Wireframing, prototyping, user journey mapping
• Collaboration: Working with product managers and developers

Who This Role Is For

• 0–2 years of UX/UI or product design experience
• Strong interest in fintech, mobile apps, or digital products
• Basic understanding of UX principles and usability
• A portfolio showing design thinking and problem-solving
