Role Overview
As Saudi Arabia advances its national fintech strategy under Vision 2030, the digital payments landscape demands redefinition at scale — blending interoperability, AI, and blockchain-level settlement intelligence. The Remote Head of Interoperable Payment Intelligence & Global Settlement Architecture will design, deploy, and govern the strategic foundations of Saudi Arabia’s next-generation payment ecosystems — an architecture capable of connecting instant domestic transactions to borderless, data-enriched, intelligent settlement networks.
The position will focus on harmonizing high-speed payment rails, ISO 20022-compliant data models, and AI-based liquidity orchestration to achieve frictionless interoperability across currencies, networks, and institutions.
Key Responsibilities

Architect and operationalize real-time interoperable payment frameworks integrating open APIs, CBDC systems, and blockchain networks.

Design AI-based settlement engines capable of dynamic routing, liquidity forecasting, and intelligent cross-border optimization.

Oversee development of payment orchestration platforms aligned with G20 and BIS innovation standards.

Build digital trust architectures integrating identity verification, cryptographic signatures, and multi-ledger reconciliation models.

Lead technical collaboration with regulators, fintech consortiums, and settlement authorities to ensure resilience and compliance.

Develop performance metrics and simulation models for evaluating systemic efficiency and operational scalability.
Qualifications

Master’s or Doctorate in Financial Systems Engineering, Distributed Systems, or Applied AI.

Over 10 years of leadership experience in payment architecture, settlement systems, or fintech infrastructure.

Deep knowledge of ISO 20022, CBDC interoperability, and AI-driven transaction processing.

Strong understanding of GCC digital finance harmonization frameworks and Vision 2030 payment modernization policies.
