Position Summary (Structured Compliance-Driven Format)
This role is designed for a fintech leader who specializes in regulatory technology (RegTech) and understands how compliance, risk management, and financial controls can be engineered directly into digital financial platforms.
Rather than operating as a legal or advisory function, this role is deeply technical and systemic, focusing on embedding regulatory logic into fintech architectures so that compliance becomes automated, auditable, and scalable.
Core Mandate
To design, implement, and oversee fintech-grade compliance and risk systems that meet GCC regulatory expectations while remaining flexible enough for international expansion.
Functional Responsibilities
Regulatory Engineering

Design automated compliance workflows integrated into onboarding, transaction processing, and reporting.

Translate regulatory requirements into system rules, controls, and monitoring mechanisms.

Build audit-ready financial systems with traceability and transparency at every layer.
Risk & Monitoring Systems

Architect transaction monitoring and anomaly detection frameworks.

Define operational risk metrics and real-time alerting mechanisms.

Oversee the integration of data sources for risk scoring and exposure analysis.
Governance & Oversight

Establish compliance architecture standards across fintech platforms.

Coordinate with engineering and product teams to ensure regulatory alignment by design.

Prepare systems for regulatory reviews, inspections, and ongoing supervision.
Candidate Profile

10+ years in fintech risk, compliance engineering, or financial regulation technology.

Strong understanding of AML systems, transaction monitoring, and financial controls.

Experience working with or designing RegTech platforms.

Excellent documentation, communication, and system-thinking capabilities.
