Role Definition
This position is dedicated to designing the control intelligence layer of fintech platforms—the systems that ensure financial integrity, regulatory alignment, risk visibility, and long-term trust. The Head of Fintech Governance & Risk Intelligence defines how compliance and risk logic are embedded directly into fintech architectures, rather than applied as after-the-fact controls.
The role is fully remote, aligned with Bahrain’s advanced fintech governance and regulatory innovation environment.
Key Responsibilities

Architect risk intelligence systems covering transaction monitoring, behavioral analytics, and predictive risk modeling.

Design compliance-by-design frameworks where regulatory requirements are encoded into platform workflows.

Define data governance models ensuring auditability, traceability, and regulatory transparency.

Produce structured documentation including risk taxonomies, governance frameworks, and regulatory system maps.

Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI-driven compliance engines and automated regulatory reporting platforms.

Act as the senior authority on fintech governance architecture and regulatory systems design.
Strategic Importance

Professional Requirements

15–20 years in fintech risk, regulatory technology, or financial governance architecture.

Strong systems-thinking and documentation capability.

Proven ability to translate complex regulation into technical and architectural logic.

High autonomy and disciplined judgment in remote senior roles.
