Role Mandate

This role is conceived for a senior fintech engineering leader responsible for reimagining and modernising digital financial cores. The position transcends conventional software leadership; it requires authority over how financial platforms are engineered, modularised, and evolved to support next-generation banking, payments, and digital financial services.

The role holder will define architectural blueprints for cloud-native, API-centric, and highly resilient financial cores, enabling rapid product innovation while preserving transaction integrity, performance, and regulatory robustness.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Architect modern digital financial cores that replace or augment legacy systems.

• Define microservices and domain-driven design models for financial platform scalability.

• Establish engineering standards for transaction processing, data consistency, and fault tolerance.

• Lead platform-level decisions around performance optimisation, observability, and resilience.

• Govern integration strategies across payments, lending, treasury, and digital channels.

• Act as the ultimate technical authority for platform evolution and long-term system sustainability.

Required Expertise

• Deep experience with large-scale financial systems and transaction-intensive platforms.

• Mastery of cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and distributed system design.

• Strong understanding of financial data models, ledgers, and reconciliation logic.

• Ability to translate strategic product vision into durable engineering architectures.

Professional Profile

• 14+ years in fintech engineering or financial systems architecture.

• Proven leadership in modernising or building digital financial cores.

• Highly structured thinker with strong governance and execution discipline.
