This role is engineered for a senior fintech leader tasked with building and governing a unified financial API ecosystem that powers digital banking, payments, and third-party integrations across Qatar’s evolving fintech landscape.

The position requires mastery in designing scalable, secure, and extensible platform architectures capable of supporting high-frequency financial interactions with precision and resilience.

Architecture Layers Under Your Control

 API Infrastructure Core

• Design RESTful and event-driven APIs enabling financial service delivery
• Implement API gateways with robust traffic management and throttling
• Establish versioning strategies ensuring backward compatibility

 Integration Fabric

• Enable seamless connectivity between banks, fintech platforms, and third-party providers
• Orchestrate middleware solutions bridging legacy systems and modern applications

 Security & Identity Layer

• Deploy advanced authentication protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
• Integrate encryption standards and secure tokenization mechanisms

Performance & Observability

• Monitor API performance metrics (latency, throughput, uptime)
• Implement observability frameworks for proactive issue detection

Execution Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of API-first financial platforms
• Define engineering standards, documentation protocols, and governance models
• Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment within Qatar
• Drive continuous optimization of system performance and scalability

• Extensive experience in API engineering, fintech platforms, or digital banking systems
