Role Overview
We are seeking a Head of Digital Payments Strategy to lead the design, execution, and governance of next-generation payment systems for Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding fintech ecosystem. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, market expertise, and hands-on execution in areas such as real-time payments, mobile wallets, cross-border remittances, and open banking frameworks. The successful candidate will define roadmaps that balance regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and cutting-edge customer experience.
Key Responsibilities

Drive the development and rollout of seamless, scalable, and secure payment ecosystems tailored to Saudi Arabia’s financial market.

Oversee cross-border payment initiatives, ensuring alignment with global interoperability standards.

Evaluate partnerships with banks, PSPs, and technology vendors to accelerate innovation and adoption.

Ensure full compliance with Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) payment regulations, while embedding cybersecurity best practices.

Monitor global payment trends (instant payments, tokenization, biometric authentication) and integrate relevant innovations into product roadmaps.

Provide leadership for a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers, and compliance professionals to deliver high-impact projects.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Economics, or Technology.

10+ years of fintech or digital payments experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven expertise in real-time payment infrastructures and API-driven payment models.

In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s financial regulations and GCC regional trends.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
