Role Purpose
This role is designed for a senior fintech professional specializing in cross-border payments architecture, settlement infrastructure, and international transaction flows. The position exists to define, standardize, and continuously refine multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction payment systems capable of operating at scale with high resilience and regulatory confidence.
While fully remote, the role is strategically aligned with the UAE’s position as a global financial connectivity hub, requiring deep familiarity with international payment corridors and settlement models.
Strategic Responsibilities

Design end-to-end cross-border payment architectures covering initiation, FX handling, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation

Define reference models for correspondent banking alternatives and modern payment rails

Establish principles for liquidity management, settlement finality, and transaction transparency

Architect interoperability frameworks between domestic and international payment systems
Operational & Technical Authority

Define architectural standards for transaction routing, exception handling, and failover

Establish performance benchmarks for latency, throughput, and settlement accuracy

Design audit-ready transaction traceability and reporting structures

Ensure scalability across growing transaction volumes and geographies
Risk, Governance & Controls

Embed regulatory expectations into system design rather than post-process controls

Define governance models for cross-border risk segmentation and escalation

Ensure compliance readiness through system logic, data lineage, and immutable records
Candidate Profile

14–18+ years in fintech, payments infrastructure, or international financial systems

Proven experience with cross-border transaction platforms

Strong architectural documentation and executive communication skills

Ability to operate autonomously as a senior design authority
