The Head of Cross-Border Digital Payments & Settlement Architecture will provide strategic and technical leadership in designing a next-generation financial settlement ecosystem capable of supporting cross-jurisdictional digital transactions, real-time payment rails, and scalable international financial connectivity.

Operating remotely while focusing on the UAE financial ecosystem, the role demands expertise in payment network architecture, financial regulation, digital banking infrastructure, and cross-border transaction technology.

Core Responsibilities

Payment Network Architecture

• Design large-scale real-time payment infrastructures capable of supporting domestic and international transactions.

• Develop frameworks for multi-currency settlement systems and global payment interoperability.

• Integrate fintech platforms with traditional banking networks through secure API ecosystems.

Cross-Border Transaction Strategy

• Build systems that enable efficient cross-regional transaction flows between financial institutions, payment processors, and digital commerce platforms.

• Design liquidity management frameworks that ensure stable and efficient settlement cycles.

Financial Security & Regulatory Alignment

• Ensure systems comply with regulatory guidance issued by
  
  Central Bank of the UAE

• Integrate risk mitigation standards recommended by
  
  Bank for International Settlements

Infrastructure Innovation

• Evaluate emerging technologies such as distributed ledger settlement systems, automated reconciliation tools, and AI-driven fraud prevention platforms.

Candidate Requirements

Academic Background

• Advanced degree in Financial Technology, Financial Engineering, Digital Banking, or Computer Science

Professional Experience

• Minimum 12–15 years in payment infrastructure, banking technology architecture, or fintech platform development

Technical Expertise

• Cross-border payment frameworks

• Financial transaction security protocols

• Digital banking architecture

• High-volume financial system scalability
