Remote Head of Blockchain Policy, Tokenization & Compliance Strategy – United Arab Emirates

Role Purpose
This leadership role will define the governance, compliance, and policy architecture supporting blockchain adoption and asset tokenization within the UAE’s fintech ecosystem. The Head of Blockchain Policy will lead frameworks ensuring legal interoperability, digital asset regulation, and secure token lifecycle management across institutional and retail financial environments.
Core Responsibilities

Design and govern digital asset frameworks consistent with UAE Central Bank and Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) directives.

Develop multi-layer compliance mechanisms integrating FATF standards, AML/CFT protocols, and cross-border auditability.

Lead policy innovation for tokenized financial instruments — including digital bonds, real estate tokens, and stablecoin ecosystems.

Establish regulatory-grade identity management systems (KYC/KYB) linked to decentralized credentials and privacy-preserving verification.

Oversee smart contract audit protocols and ensure cryptographic compliance integrity for blockchain-based financial products.
Candidate Requirements

10+ years in blockchain regulation, financial compliance, or digital asset strategy.

Advanced understanding of smart contract auditing, DLT governance, and cross-jurisdictional compliance frameworks.

Deep familiarity with DeFi, token issuance models, and digital asset lifecycle governance.

Experience collaborating with regulators, global policy institutions, and technology innovation hubs.
Educational Background

Advanced degree in Financial Regulation, Computer Science, or Blockchain Law.

Professional credentials in compliance, legal technology, or digital asset governance (CAMS, CFCS, or equivalent).
