Role Overview

We are inviting visionary leaders to take on the role of Head of Blockchain & Digital Asset Risk Architecture in a remote capacity focused on the Qatari fintech market. This position centers on the design and oversight of risk management frameworks, governance structures, and regulatory strategies for blockchain-enabled financial services and digital asset ecosystems. The ideal candidate combines regulatory insight with technical expertise, capable of leading dialogue with global stakeholders while tailoring risk methodologies to Qatar’s growing fintech sector.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee risk management frameworks for blockchain-based applications, decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, and tokenized asset marketplaces.

• Engage with Qatari regulators and financial institutions to ensure compliance with emerging digital asset frameworks while maintaining international best practices.

• Develop strategies for digital asset custody, tokenization platforms, and digital securities, ensuring secure and compliant operations.

• Establish cross-border regulatory harmonization models to align Qatar’s fintech initiatives with international standards (FATF, BIS, IOSCO).

• Provide thought leadership on the integration of AI-driven risk analytics for monitoring digital asset transactions in real-time.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to boards and committees, presenting risk assessments, governance recommendations, and regulatory impact studies.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 12+ years in risk management, financial services governance, or blockchain architecture.

• Strong background in regulatory frameworks for digital assets (AML/CFT, FATF Travel Rule, MiCA, etc.).

• Expertise in blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Hyperledger, Corda) and familiarity with custody solutions.

• Advanced degree in finance, computer science, law, or economics, with relevant certifications (CAMS, FRM, CISA).

• Exceptional leadership, able to bridge the gap between regulators, technologists, and financial executives.
