A major financial transformation initiative in Bahrain is seeking a Head of Bitcoin Strategy, Risk & Institutional Operations to lead enterprise-wide governance across Bitcoin treasury operations, institutional settlement frameworks, digital asset compliance, transaction risk management, and strategic financial controls.

This executive role is built for a senior professional capable of designing scalable governance models that protect both institutional capital and customer trust while supporting innovation across Bitcoin payments, treasury operations, merchant settlements, and digital asset financial services.

You will own the strategic architecture of digital asset operational integrity—ensuring that growth remains aligned with regulatory discipline, financial control, institutional resilience, and enterprise risk management.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide Bitcoin operational governance across treasury movements, institutional settlements, merchant payouts, and financial controls
• Design and strengthen internal frameworks for transaction monitoring, custody integrity, reconciliation controls, and operational risk mitigation
• Oversee fraud prevention programs, suspicious transaction escalation, and financial incident management across digital asset environments
• Improve customer remediation frameworks, dispute resolution oversight, and payment exception management structures
• Coordinate with compliance, audit, legal, and executive leadership on regulatory response strategies and governance priorities
• Build executive dashboards for operational risk reporting, treasury performance, and settlement governance metrics
• Support regulatory inspections, audit readiness programs, and enterprise policy modernization initiatives
• Strengthen merchant acquiring controls, wallet governance, and institutional payment recovery frameworks
• Drive transformation programs involving automation, operational intelligence, and enterprise-scale digital asset controls
• Lead high-performing teams across treasury operations, compliance oversight, and governance functions
• Ensure strong alignment between institutional innovation and financial risk frameworks
• Protect enterprise reputation through proactive operational integrity leadership

Executive Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in fintech operations, digital assets, treasury management, or financial controls
• Strong expertise in Bitcoin operations, institutional settlements, reconciliation frameworks, and enterprise governance
• Deep understanding of operational risk management, financial reporting, and digital asset compliance expectations
• Proven experience leading enterprise financial operations within fintech or digital asset institutions
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capability
• Professional certifications in risk management, compliance, treasury operations, or financial controls are highly preferred
• Ability to lead strategic transformation across complex financial environments
