Job Overview
Remote Head of Algorithmic Cross-Border Payments Optimization — United Arab Emirates
Location: Remote (UAE Regulatory Alignment)
Region Focus: UAE / Pan-GCC Transactional Infrastructure
Employment Type: Remote, Senior Executive
Discipline: Mathematical Optimization, Payments Engineering, Algorithmic Economics
Role Overview
This role redefines payments optimization at a scale where mathematics converges with distributed infrastructure. As the Remote Head of Algorithmic Cross-Border Payments Optimization, you will develop advanced computational frameworks that minimize payment latency, energy consumption, and settlement inefficiencies across GCC–global corridors.
Your mission: to design a mathematically coherent, high-dimensional optimization layer that dynamically governs how digital transactions flow through regional and international clearing architectures. Through the use of variational calculus, Lagrangian duality, and multi-objective convex programming, your work will transform how transactional liquidity equilibria are achieved in distributed settlement topologies.
Core Responsibilities
-
Optimization Model Design:
Create multi-objective optimization formulations minimizing transaction time T(x)T(x) and volatility-adjusted cost C(x)C(x), subject to constraints on energy, bandwidth, and regulatory compliance. -
Algorithmic Architecture:
Construct distributed consensus algorithms integrating gradient descent reinforcement learning for dynamic transaction routing under changing exchange-rate tensors. -
Mathematical Abstraction of Settlement:
Develop Hamiltonian models to describe transaction flow dynamics as a function of system potential energy — mapping cross-border frictions to quantifiable energy states in the transactional manifold. -
Interoperability Engineering:
Architect secure payment layer protocols leveraging algebraic graph theory and category-theoretic data structures to enable composable payment channels across disparate blockchains. -
Quantitative Validation:
Use statistical convergence proofs, numerical stability analysis, and large-scale simulation to ensure model soundness under stochastic macroeconomic volatility.
Candidate Profile
-
Doctorate or equivalent in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Distributed Systems Economics.
-
At least 12 years of fintech infrastructure or algorithmic payment system experience.
-
Advanced command of optimization theory, probabilistic modeling, and asynchronous algorithm design.
-
Fluency in C++, Rust, or Haskell for computational efficiency and formal verification.
-
Demonstrable understanding of GCC payment infrastructure modernization frameworks.
Strategic Impact
This role will position you as a mathematical economist-engineer — converting distributed transaction mechanics into analyzable optimization problems, and shaping the UAE’s role as the algorithmic nexus of cross-border digital value transfer.
