Position Overview

Qatar’s financial sector is undergoing a fundamental digital infrastructure overhaul, with emphasis on cloud-native banking cores, API-first architectures, and digital-first customer experiences. The Remote Group Head of Fintech Infrastructure, Cloud-Native Banking & Digital Core Transformation will lead the strategic modernization of financial core systems, enabling scalable, resilient, and future-ready financial infrastructures.

This is a role for a technology strategist with deep expertise in digital banking transformation, cloud infrastructures, and regulatory alignment, capable of ensuring Qatar’s banking sector meets global competitiveness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Core Banking Transformation

  • Lead migration from legacy banking cores to cloud-native, API-driven systems.

• Cloud Infrastructure Deployment

  • Oversee the deployment of multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructures, ensuring resilience and compliance.

• API Ecosystem Development

  • Create open API frameworks enabling fintech collaboration, embedded finance, and cross-sector integrations.

• Data-Centric Architecture

  • Establish real-time data analytics platforms, AI-driven insights engines, and enterprise-wide data governance.

• Cybersecurity & Resilience

  • Integrate zero-trust security, advanced encryption, and AI-based fraud monitoring into all infrastructures.

• Regulatory Collaboration

  • Work with the Qatar Central Bank to establish compliant cloud banking governance standards.

Candidate Profile

• 15+ years in digital banking transformation, fintech infrastructure, or financial IT leadership.

• Mastery of cloud-native systems, microservices architecture, and containerized banking cores.

• Knowledge of Qatar’s financial modernization agenda and GCC regulatory requirements.

• Strong track record of executing large-scale digital transformation programs.

• Strategic leadership in bridging banks, fintechs, and regulators into a unified cloud-banking future.
