Role Thesis

This role exists at the intersection of financial crime prevention, data intelligence, and real-time transaction surveillance systems. The Group Head will architect and operationalize a multi-layered intelligence ecosystem capable of detecting, analyzing, and mitigating financial risks across high-volume digital transaction environments.

The mandate is not limited to fraud detection—it extends into predictive financial intelligence, behavioral analytics, and systemic risk identification across evolving fintech infrastructures.


Strategic Responsibility Architecture

I. Financial Intelligence Ecosystem Design

  • Build centralized intelligence hubs aggregating transactional, behavioral, and external risk data.

  • Design real-time monitoring systems capable of processing high-frequency financial events.

  • Integrate AI-driven anomaly detection engines across payment and banking platforms.

II. Fraud Detection & Prevention Frameworks

  • Develop multi-layered fraud detection strategies combining rules-based and machine learning models.

  • Implement adaptive learning systems that evolve with emerging fraud patterns.

  • Establish proactive defense mechanisms across digital payments, wallets, and cross-border transactions.

III. Regulatory Intelligence & Compliance Alignment

  • Translate regulatory expectations into operational surveillance systems.

  • Design audit-ready reporting pipelines for financial authorities.

  • Ensure transparency and explainability in algorithmic decision-making systems.

IV. Organizational Leadership & Intelligence Governance

  • Lead distributed teams spanning data science, cybersecurity, and risk analytics.

  • Define governance structures for data usage, model validation, and intelligence reporting.

  • Establish KPIs around detection accuracy, false positives, and response latency.
