Role Context & Strategic Purpose
This role exists to define, architect, and continuously evolve mission-critical digital payments infrastructure capable of operating across borders, currencies, and regulatory regimes. The position is intended for a senior fintech professional with deep exposure to payment rails, transaction orchestration layers, and real-time settlement logic, operating at a scale where architectural decisions materially influence systemic performance and financial reliability.
The successful candidate will act as a global authority on payments infrastructure, contributing to the conceptual design and long-term evolution of highly resilient, low-latency transaction ecosystems while working fully remotely with Dubai serving as the strategic financial hub.
Core Responsibilities

Design and refine end-to-end digital payment infrastructures, including real-time payment processing engines and cross-border transaction workflows

Architect high-availability transaction systems optimised for throughput, fault tolerance, and regulatory adaptability

Define settlement, reconciliation, and clearing logic across multi-currency environments

Lead architectural decision-making around API-driven payment ecosystems, modular payment components, and integration standards

Establish infrastructure-level governance covering scalability, resilience, and operational continuity

Collaborate with globally distributed engineering, data, and product stakeholders to align payments architecture with broader fintech strategies
Required Background & Expertise

12–18 years of progressive experience in fintech, payments engineering, or financial systems architecture

Deep technical understanding of payment processing models, transaction lifecycles, and financial messaging standards

Strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and event-driven platforms

Demonstrated ability to design systems supporting high transaction volumes and international operations

Exceptional documentation, analytical, and remote-collaboration capabilities
Compensation Framework

Annual Compensation Range: AED 520,000 – 780,000 (tax-free)
