Strategic Role Overview

This role is conceived for a senior fintech architect and platform leader capable of orchestrating large-scale digital banking ecosystems that operate across national and cross-border financial environments. The position centers on designing and governing next-generation core financial platforms that underpin digital banks, embedded finance ecosystems, and API-driven financial services within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving financial technology landscape.

The role is remote by design, requiring strategic maturity, architectural authority, and the ability to influence distributed engineering and product teams operating across time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern end-to-end architecture for digital banking platforms, including core ledgers, payments orchestration, and financial data layers

• Establish architectural principles for scalability, security, resilience, and regulatory alignment

• Lead platform modernization initiatives involving cloud migration, service decomposition, and API enablement

• Translate regulatory and operational requirements into system-level controls embedded within platform design

• Provide executive-level guidance on long-term platform evolution and technology investment priorities

Technical & Functional Scope

• Core banking systems, real-time ledger architectures, and transaction processing engines

• API-first financial platforms, open banking interfaces, and third-party integrations

• Cloud-native infrastructure, distributed systems, and high-availability design patterns

• Data integrity, auditability, and platform observability frameworks

Candidate Profile

• 12+ years of experience in fintech, digital banking, or financial platform architecture

• Demonstrated leadership in large-scale financial system design and modernization

• Strong command of cloud platforms, distributed architectures, and security-by-design principles

• Ability to engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders with equal effectiveness
