Role Overview
As Qatar accelerates its ambition to be a fintech powerhouse, this appointment will shape the compliance, governance, and risk strategy of remote fintech operations in a global context. The Global Head of Remote Fintech Risk, Compliance & Digital Asset Governance will develop and enforce world-class frameworks for digital assets, algorithmic trading, tokenized securities, and AI-powered credit assessments, while aligning to Qatar Central Bank’s forward-thinking fintech strategies and international standards.
Key Responsibilities

Design enterprise-wide risk management and compliance programs for fintech firms operating remotely.

Develop governance standards for digital assets, including custody, exchange operations, and stablecoin frameworks.

Liaise with international regulators (IOSCO, BIS, FATF) to ensure GCC fintech ecosystems remain globally interoperable.

Establish real-time regtech solutions leveraging AI-driven compliance monitoring and blockchain-based audit trails.

Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives across GCC and European/Asian compliance forums.
Candidate Profile

15+ years of regulatory risk and compliance leadership in fintech, digital assets, or global banking.

Proven expertise in implementing AML/CFT frameworks, cybersecurity risk standards, and tokenized financial instruments.

Comprehensive familiarity with GCC fintech regulatory landscapes, particularly QCB initiatives.

Ability to work across remote jurisdictions, synthesizing multi-regulatory obligations into unified compliance models.
