Position Purpose
The United Arab Emirates stands as a regional pacesetter in open finance transformation. This position requires a forward-thinking executive with the vision and technical acumen to architect the next-generation open finance framework—enabling seamless connectivity between financial institutions, fintechs, and data ecosystems. The Global Head of Open Finance will drive the unification of digital banking infrastructures, foster secure data sharing, and embed AI-driven analytics into nationwide financial architectures.
Strategic Accountabilities

Lead the design, governance, and execution of an open finance ecosystem architecture harmonizing multi-sector APIs, real-time data orchestration, and third-party developer frameworks.

Develop a unified data standardization and consent management protocol, ensuring regulatory alignment under the UAE’s open finance directives.

Oversee regulatory technology (RegTech) integrations that optimize compliance monitoring, audit automation, and AI-powered anomaly detection.

Partner with global and regional fintech innovators to build cross-border interoperability frameworks, enhancing digital banking collaboration and innovation velocity.

Direct R&D initiatives in decentralized finance (DeFi) enablement, identity verification systems, and digital trust infrastructure.
Required Qualifications

12+ years’ experience in open banking, financial architecture, or fintech innovation, ideally across EMEA or GCC markets.

Proven expertise in API ecosystem development, digital identity systems, and AI-enabled financial governance frameworks.

Deep knowledge of ISO 20022, PSD2, GDPR, DIFC Data Protection Law, and cloud security standards.

Exceptional strategic leadership with an ability to guide multi-functional global teams in highly regulated financial domains.
