Overview
The Global Head of Open Banking & Embedded Finance Strategy will architect and operationalize the long-term strategic framework for Oman’s open banking evolution, integrating ecosystem interoperability, financial inclusivity, and next-generation embedded finance innovation. This role requires an executive visionary capable of aligning multi-sector stakeholders to deliver seamless digital financial ecosystems that empower both consumers and enterprises through open data collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

Define and execute open banking API frameworks to unify banking, fintech, and merchant ecosystems under a single compliance-ready architecture.

Oversee deployment of real-time data-sharing infrastructures, advanced authentication layers, and consent management mechanisms.

Lead the design of embedded finance models across retail, SME, and institutional domains, ensuring seamless financial service integration within non-financial platforms.

Build regulatory engagement strategies for API standardization, cybersecurity resilience, and consumer data protection compliance.

Develop predictive data monetization and financial intelligence models leveraging advanced AI and cloud-native analytics.

Partner with ecosystem enablers to expand digital credit, payments, and wealth capabilities across Oman’s fintech infrastructure.
Required Expertise

10+ years of experience in open banking, digital product strategy, or fintech infrastructure design.

Mastery of API management, data interoperability, and fintech regulatory frameworks.

Proven record of leadership in multi-country digital transformation programs.

Deep understanding of global API ecosystems (PSD2, OBIE, CDR) and their adaptation to GCC frameworks.

Expertise in AI-enabled personalization, cybersecurity resilience, and regulatory governance for open data systems.
Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) in Financial Systems Engineering, Data Science, or Strategic Innovation.

Published contributions or global participation in open finance standards groups.

Experience collaborating with regulators, central banks, and ecosystem accelerators in open banking programs.
