Strategic Purpose
This role is conceived as a top-tier remote leadership mandate responsible for defining, governing, and evolving large-scale fintech system architectures aligned with Bahrain’s role as a regional financial innovation hub.
The position focuses on platform convergence, unifying payments, digital banking layers, data intelligence systems, and emerging financial technologies into a cohesive, future-proof architecture.
The role holder will operate as a principal systems authority, shaping architectural decisions that influence interoperability, scalability, and long-term digital finance resilience.
Core Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end fintech platform ecosystems, integrating payments, core banking abstractions, analytics layers, and external financial interfaces.

Establish reference architectures and technical governance frameworks for modular, API-first, cloud-native financial systems.

Define standards for system interoperability, latency optimization, transaction throughput, and platform resilience.

Oversee architectural alignment with regional and international financial infrastructure standards.

Lead strategic dialogue on legacy modernization, platform consolidation, and next-generation system migration.

Produce executive-grade architectural documentation, white papers, and system blueprints for senior stakeholders.
Professional Profile

15+ years of experience in fintech architecture, financial systems engineering, or large-scale digital platform design.

Deep expertise in distributed systems, financial middleware, and enterprise integration patterns.

Proven leadership in multi-jurisdictional or complex regulatory environments.

Exceptional ability to translate strategic financial objectives into executable technical architectures.
