Role Overview
The Global Head of Fintech Strategy, Cross-Border Digital Assets & Decentralized Payment Networks will oversee the strategic convergence of distributed ledger finance, cross-jurisdictional payments, and digital asset intelligence for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This position unites macroeconomic modeling, tokenized liquidity systems, and AI-enhanced settlement intelligence to design the next frontier of decentralized financial ecosystems across the GCC and international markets.
Core Mandates

Strategic Design: Formulate and execute long-term fintech strategy harmonizing blockchain networks, asset tokenization frameworks, and interbank settlement protocols.

Regulatory Synchronization: Develop governance blueprints ensuring compliance with evolving global digital asset standards and GCC supervisory frameworks.

Decentralized Payments Architecture: Engineer AI-enhanced distributed payment channels capable of dynamic routing, liquidity optimization, and real-time clearing.

Digital Currency Integration: Design CBDC-compatible transaction systems ensuring interoperability with open finance APIs.

Data Governance: Implement privacy-preserving analytics and cryptographically secured transaction intelligence.
Professional Background

Master’s or Ph.D. in Blockchain Systems, Financial Strategy, or Applied Cryptoeconomics.

10+ years of leadership across digital assets, payment networks, and fintech transformation strategy.

Demonstrated expertise in DLT protocols, DeFi ecosystems, ISO 20022 payment standards, and data residency management.

Experience working across multinational fintech regulatory environments.
