Role Overview
The Global Head of Digital Payments Innovation & Cross-Border Fintech Ecosystems will lead the evolution of Qatar’s financial technology landscape by architecting real-time, AI-driven payment ecosystems that integrate global interoperability, tokenized transactions, and data-intelligent financial networks. The role focuses on harmonizing digital payments infrastructure with international fintech standards, while advancing Qatar’s innovation economy and cross-border financial connectivity.
Core Responsibilities

Lead strategy, architecture, and deployment of digital payment ecosystems connecting regional and global networks through open API frameworks.

Build AI-enhanced transaction analytics systems to support instant settlement, fraud mitigation, and liquidity optimization.

Develop interoperable financial rails linking digital wallets, neobanks, and payment service providers under secure, scalable infrastructures.

Drive cross-regional fintech collaborations for digital currency pilot programs, blockchain-based remittance corridors, and open finance ecosystems.

Align Qatar’s payment innovation strategy with GCC regulatory frameworks, ISO 20022, and global fintech data standardization protocols.
Qualifications

Master’s or Ph.D. in Financial Systems Engineering, Monetary Technology, or Data-Driven Finance.

10+ years of leadership experience in digital payments infrastructure, cross-border transaction systems, or fintech innovation.

Technical fluency in real-time payments, DLT-based settlements, and AI transaction governance.

Knowledge of Qatar’s fintech innovation initiatives, digital economy strategy, and GCC fintech policy alignment.
