Global Head of Digital Asset Strategy & Financial Innovation (Remote) – Qatar

Strategic Overview

A visionary leadership role focused on digital assets, blockchain finance, and next-generation financial innovation frameworks. This position operates at the intersection of capital markets, tokenized assets, and decentralized finance (DeFi) within Qatar’s progressive financial ecosystem.

Mission Statement

To define and execute a holistic digital asset strategy, enabling:

• Tokenized financial instruments

• Blockchain-based settlement systems

• Institutional-grade digital asset custody frameworks

Core Responsibilities

1. Digital Asset Ecosystem Development

• Architect platforms for:

  • Tokenized securities

  • Stablecoins and digital currencies

  • Smart contract-based financial products

• Develop institutional DeFi frameworks with risk mitigation controls.

2. Blockchain Infrastructure Strategy

• Evaluate and deploy permissioned and public blockchain networks.

• Design interoperability protocols between traditional financial systems and decentralized networks.

3. Market Innovation Leadership

• Identify emerging opportunities in:

  • Web3 financial services

  • Decentralized identity (DID) systems

  • Programmable finance

• Establish innovation pipelines and sandbox environments.

4. Governance & Risk Management

• Implement digital asset custody, private key management, and security protocols.

• Align with Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) regulatory frameworks.

Expertise Requirements

• 12+ years in fintech, blockchain, or capital markets innovation

• Deep knowledge of:

  • Smart contracts (Solidity, Rust)

  • Token economics and incentive design

  • Cryptographic security models

• Experience with institutional digital asset platforms

Leadership Expectations

• Thought leadership in global fintech and blockchain forums

• Ability to bridge technical, regulatory, and commercial domains

• Proven track record in launching innovative financial products

Success Metrics

• Adoption of tokenized financial instruments

• Security and resilience of digital asset infrastructure

• Regulatory approvals and compliance milestones
