Role Overview
The Global Head of Digital Asset Strategy & Blockchain Integration will lead Qatar’s fintech initiatives in building globally competitive blockchain-based financial infrastructures. This strategic position involves defining the national digital asset vision, designing secure distributed systems, and driving innovation across tokenization, decentralized finance (DeFi), and programmable money ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities

Develop national-level digital asset and blockchain strategies aligned with global fintech trends and Qatar’s digital transformation agenda.

Lead cross-border blockchain initiatives for asset tokenization, trade finance digitization, and real-time settlement.

Oversee interoperability architecture across multiple distributed ledger technologies (DLT), ensuring regulatory and security alignment.

Establish governance frameworks for digital asset custody, smart contract audits, and decentralized compliance.

Foster partnerships with global blockchain consortia, fintech hubs, and virtual asset regulators.

Guide R&D in quantum-resistant cryptography and privacy-preserving financial protocols.

Present strategic roadmaps to executive boards and international fintech forums.
Qualifications & Expertise
-
Master’s degree in Blockchain Technologies, Financial Engineering, or similar.

At least 10 years’ leadership in blockchain architecture or digital asset management.

Deep expertise in Ethereum, Hyperledger, and emerging Layer-2 scalability protocols.

Understanding of global regulatory frameworks for virtual assets (FATF, IOSCO, BIS).

Exceptional record in strategic innovation and technology diplomacy.
