Role Overview
The Global Head will lead the development of Qatar’s next-generation cross-border payments and settlement infrastructures. The position combines deep expertise in international financial networks, CBDC innovation, and blockchain-powered settlement systems, ensuring Qatar’s active integration into global financial corridors.
Key Responsibilities

Design and scale interoperable cross-border settlement networks integrating blockchain, ISO 20022, and SWIFT gpi.

Develop payment corridor strategies connecting GCC, Asia, and Africa trade flows.

Oversee CBDC pilots and assess implications for real-time settlement ecosystems.

Implement advanced AML/CFT frameworks using AI-driven monitoring and compliance tools.

Position Qatar as a global hub for remittances, trade finance, and programmable settlement assets.
Candidate Profile

12+ years in payments, cross-border fintech, or settlement architecture.

Advanced qualifications in Finance, Economics, or Payment Systems Engineering.

Strong knowledge of Qatar’s regulatory ecosystem and international payment standards.

Track record of developing scalable cross-border payment infrastructures.
