Overview
As the UAE positions itself as a global nexus for digital finance, there arises a unique opening for a high-level strategist to define governance, compliance, and risk strategies for international fintech expansion. The Global Fintech Governance & Regulatory Strategy Lead will establish regulatory alignment frameworks that synchronize UAE fintech initiatives with global financial compliance and technology standards.
This position calls for deep expertise in digital financial regulation, cross-border compliance frameworks, and policy innovation — fostering a climate of responsible fintech growth and regulatory foresight.
Key Responsibilities

Formulate and oversee fintech regulatory policy models aligned with global financial standards (FATF, BIS, IOSCO, OECD).

Develop regtech-driven compliance infrastructure utilizing automation, AI, and data analytics for real-time oversight.

Lead international policy dialogues and coordinate with digital regulators to harmonize UAE fintech ecosystems with cross-border markets.

Integrate ESG, data privacy, and ethical AI principles into digital finance governance frameworks.

Advise executive leadership on systemic risk controls and digital financial resilience strategies.

Produce detailed whitepapers and governance reports on emerging fintech regulatory models and policy implications.
Qualifications

Advanced degree (LL.M., MBA, or MSc) in Finance, Law, or Public Policy with specialization in fintech regulation.

At least 10 years of experience in digital finance regulation, risk governance, or financial compliance leadership.

Familiarity with digital asset licensing, open finance frameworks, and cross-border data compliance.

Expertise in AI governance, cyber policy, and the regulatory lifecycle of fintech innovation.
