Global Executive Mandate – Remote Chief Architect: Digital Payment & Settlement Systems
Location: Remote – Saudi Arabia
Position Summary
The Chief Architect will be responsible for designing, governing, and scaling large-scale digital payment networks. This is an executive-level strategic role focused on systemic resilience, cross-border interoperability, and regulatory alignment.
The role requires a visionary fintech professional capable of translating complex financial regulations into cohesive system architecture, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and long-term strategic relevance.
Key Objectives

Architect end-to-end digital payment and settlement systems, including domestic and cross-border transaction flows.

Define clearing, reconciliation, and liquidity management protocols to ensure operational reliability.

Establish interoperability frameworks connecting banks, fintech platforms, and emerging payment rails.

Evaluate and integrate tokenized assets, programmable money, and embedded finance models.

Translate regional and international regulatory frameworks into actionable system design principles.
Core Responsibilities

Develop detailed architecture blueprints showing transaction lifecycles, liquidity routing, and contingency measures.

Conduct systemic risk assessments focusing on settlement delays, counterparty exposure, and operational bottlenecks.

Advise executive leadership on future-proofing infrastructure with emerging fintech technologies.

Lead collaboration with multidisciplinary teams ensuring technical coherence, operational alignment, and regulatory compliance.

Produce long-form strategic and technical documentation for executive and regulatory audiences.
Qualifications

12+ years in payments infrastructure, banking operations, or fintech system architecture.

Deep knowledge of clearing cycles, settlement finality, liquidity optimization, and operational risk management.

Experience integrating regulatory frameworks into system architecture.

Proven ability to produce comprehensive executive reports and technical white papers.
