Position Overview
The Global Director of Digital Payments Intelligence & Ecosystem Innovation will lead the conceptualization, design, and deployment of transformative digital payment infrastructures across the Saudi financial ecosystem. This role is designed for a visionary fintech strategist with exceptional command of real-time payments, cross-border interoperability, and intelligent transaction analytics. The successful candidate will oversee initiatives that integrate data science, behavioral analytics, and advanced payments architecture to redefine financial interaction models across sectors.
Core Responsibilities

Architect AI-driven payment intelligence frameworks that enable predictive risk management, real-time settlement, and network resilience.

Lead strategic planning for cross-border interoperability, ISO 20022 adoption, and real-time payments modernization.

Develop analytics models for dynamic pricing, anti-fraud algorithms, and payment flow optimization.

Collaborate with regional and international regulators to enhance cross-market payment harmonization.

Drive innovation partnerships with global digital wallet operators, payment aggregators, and financial data exchanges.

Oversee creation of adaptive data frameworks supporting open payments, tokenization, and real-time financial analytics.
Qualifications & Experience

12+ years in fintech, digital payments, or financial systems engineering.

Expert in real-time payments, open banking, and API-driven financial ecosystems.

Advanced proficiency in AI/ML applications for payments analytics and transaction monitoring.

Strategic thinker with experience operating within large-scale financial modernization programs.
Preferred Credentials

MSc or MBA in Financial Technology, Data Analytics, or Digital Strategy.

Deep familiarity with GCC payment ecosystems and cross-border transaction infrastructures.

Proven leadership in international digital payment strategy execution.
