Overview
The Global Director of Decentralized Financial Infrastructure & Web3 Strategy will lead the strategic evolution of Saudi Arabia’s digital finance ecosystem through decentralized architectures, tokenized asset frameworks, and next-generation Web3 integration. This role combines visionary leadership, advanced regulatory coordination, and deep blockchain engineering fluency to drive cross-border innovation in digital value transfer, institutional DeFi, and programmable finance.
Key Responsibilities

Design and deploy national-grade decentralized infrastructure frameworks aligning with GCC financial modernization objectives.

Architect interoperability protocols integrating DeFi platforms, traditional payment systems, and cross-border digital asset exchanges.

Develop blockchain-native governance and auditability layers to ensure transparency, compliance, and systemic resilience.

Oversee implementation of on-chain identity frameworks, smart contract authentication systems, and decentralized compliance engines.

Lead partnerships with regulators and fintech accelerators to establish innovation sandboxes and blockchain standardization councils.

Define and monitor performance metrics for decentralized liquidity, token issuance, and real-time asset settlement.
Required Expertise

12+ years in blockchain architecture, decentralized finance innovation, or fintech systems strategy.

Deep expertise in Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain technologies, interoperability frameworks, and smart contract governance.

Proven leadership in integrating decentralized ecosystems with enterprise-grade financial institutions.

Strong understanding of digital asset regulation, distributed ledger scalability, and global fintech policy evolution.

Strategic capacity to align Web3 innovation with Saudi Arabia’s long-term digital transformation agenda.
Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (PhD, MSc, or MBA) in Distributed Systems, Financial Engineering, or Digital Economics.

Experience advising regulatory bodies or international fintech alliances on DeFi frameworks.

Recognized contribution to open-source blockchain or financial decentralization initiatives.
