Position Overview
A progressive organization is looking for an experienced Fraud Investigation Officer to conduct detailed investigations into suspected fraud, financial misconduct, and operational irregularities. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to manage sensitive investigations while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end fraud investigations and evidence gathering.
- Review customer accounts, transaction records, and supporting documentation.
- Interview relevant parties during internal investigations.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports with findings and recommendations.
- Identify root causes of fraud incidents and recommend preventive controls.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and operational teams.
- Monitor fraud cases until successful resolution.
- Maintain confidential investigation records and documentation.
- Support fraud risk assessments and internal control reviews.
- Contribute to fraud awareness and prevention initiatives.
- Assist with regulatory and audit requests related to fraud matters.
- Monitor emerging financial crime trends and investigative practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline.
- Experience in fraud investigations, financial crime, compliance, or audit.
- Strong investigative and interviewing skills.
- Knowledge of fraud risk management and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical thinking and report-writing abilities.
- High ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Relevant fraud investigation certifications are desirable.
