Fintech Transformation Architect – Bahrain

Role Definition

This is a program-architecture and transformation-design role, aimed at a fintech professional specializing in multi-phase, enterprise-scale financial transformation initiatives. Fully remote, the role aligns with Bahrain’s fintech-friendly regulatory environment and focus on digital innovation.

Transformation Mandate

• Architect comprehensive fintech transformation programs, including payments modernization, platform integration, and data infrastructure design.

• Provide strategic oversight without day-to-day operational responsibility.

• Ensure alignment of architecture, governance, and regulatory compliance throughout the transformation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Architecture Design

   • Develop phased transformation roadmaps for payments systems, digital platforms, and data architectures.

   • Define sequencing, dependencies, and decision gates.

2. Risk & Dependency Management

   • Map technical, regulatory, and operational risks.

   • Design mitigation frameworks for systemic and project-specific risks.

3. Metrics & Governance

   • Establish KPIs measuring scalability, resiliency, regulatory readiness, and integration quality.

   • Develop oversight frameworks to monitor and guide program execution.

4. Strategic Oversight & Advisory

   • Provide guidance on prioritization, scope refinement, and corrective measures.

   • Communicate complex architectural and strategic concepts to executive stakeholders.

Required Expertise

• 14+ years in fintech transformation, digital programs, or enterprise financial systems strategy.

• Proven experience in payments modernization, platform integration, and data governance.

• Strong program architecture and strategic oversight experience.

• Advanced analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
