Role Overview
This role is dedicated to strengthening the integrity of financial systems through advanced transaction monitoring, anomaly detection, and financial control frameworks. The Remote Fintech Transaction Monitoring & Financial Controls Manager will ensure that all financial activities are continuously assessed, validated, and aligned with internal and regulatory standards.
Core Responsibility Architecture
1. Transaction Monitoring Systems
- Design and implement real-time monitoring frameworks to track high-volume financial transactions.
- Establish alert mechanisms for identifying unusual patterns, inconsistencies, or suspicious activities.
- Continuously refine monitoring rules to improve accuracy and responsiveness.
2. Financial Controls Implementation
- Develop and enforce internal controls across payment processing, fund transfers, and account management systems.
- Ensure segregation of duties and proper authorization workflows within financial operations.
- Maintain detailed audit trails for all financial activities.
3. Anomaly Detection & Investigation
- Analyze flagged transactions to determine root causes and potential risks.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues and implement preventative measures.
- Prepare detailed reports on anomalies and corrective actions.
4. Compliance Alignment
- Ensure transaction monitoring systems comply with regulatory expectations and financial governance standards.
- Support audit processes by providing comprehensive documentation and insights.
Required Expertise
- Experience in transaction monitoring, financial controls, or risk management within fintech or banking.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Knowledge of AML frameworks, fraud detection methodologies, and compliance standards.
Performance Metrics
- Reduction in undetected anomalies and financial discrepancies.
- Effectiveness of monitoring systems in identifying risks.
- Timeliness of issue resolution and reporting.
